Can't Wiggle Free.

You know how sometimes you get a song stuck in your head and it just drives you nuts and you’re singing the chorus over and over and then the person sitting next to you gets up and walks away singing it and it keeps getting passed from person to person like some infectious monkey virus…?

OK, now imagine it’s a song from a show for preschoolers.

This show, to be precise. A group of Australian guys who couldn't make it as a covers band, so they decided to be a children's band instead.

Ugh.

We have one of The Wiggles videos at home.
My daughter loves it. All she ever asks any more is "Toot... car... p'ease. P'EASE. Car... Caaarrrr!!!", which is her way of saying she wants to watch the Wiggles video, Toot-Toot, (about a big red car that goes 'chugga, chugga') over and over and over ...

She gets her way, of course, which means those preschooler songs have burrowed into my subconscious, so I now wander around the house singing "Toot-toot, chugga-chugga, big red car..."

Friends come over to visit and leave singing "Toot-toot, chugga-chugga, big red car..."

I go to work singing "Toot, toot, chugga, chugga ..."

Wiggles. Must. Die.
