Love carries a Samurai sword.
14 February, 2006 ---- 9:47 PM

"Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung…"

Love's not a virus, it's a syndrome.

I don’t mean that in a bad way.
I just mean that love is a big thing to define.

One dictionary, for example, defines it as “any object of warm affection or devotion”; then gives this example: He has a passion for cock-fighting;

Which is fine. If you swing that way.

But if you think about it, Love is an entity that engulfs and consumes the power of all other emotions to become the particular kind of peculiar strain you happen to be inflicted with.

Sort of like that Highlander movie. Except without the decapitation. Although it might be able to do a Sean Connory impersonation. I don’t know.

Anyway, so what I’m trying to say… what I think I’m trying to say… what I’m saying is…

Happy Valentines Day!

Photobucket

I wrote that when I was 18.

I came across it recently, looking for words to turn into songs.

A lot of the stuff I wrote in those days was pretty much esoteric journaling. Meaning the meanings have pretty much been pretty much lost to even me now, what with the senility. And stuff.

But I spent a lot of time thinking about what That One was about,
And,
What the fuck was I on?

Kurt Cobain songs, I think.

Go here if you want to hear the song.

It’s a worktape, Blah-diddy-blah-diddy-blah…

If you didn’t like that, there was also yesterday’s VD offering.

That’s the beauty of being a day ahead of the rest of the world. You get to celebrate things over two days.

Don’t like that either?

Try last year’s Valentine’s poem.

Don’t like that either?

Sheesh.

What’s a guy got to do to get to second base?

Deni Bonet has also been in an anti-Valentine’s, Evil Love Song-posting mood.

Check out her song, "Then I’ll really Love You".

Then I’ll really love You...
