And you broadband punks think you got it bad when you suddenly find yourself having to temporarily resort back to dialup. Imagine dialup at less than 1/10th of the regular speed. George Bush's brain works faster than that.

So that was my week. It's fixed now. The telecommunications guy came and climbed a telephone pole and fixed a thingamajig to do with line noise and rainwater and rust and spiders and spiderwebs, and here I am. Panic over.

Five days of work left and then a two week holiday in the sun.
