I saw a turtle in our company lake this morning.
Weirdness.
Rareness.
Symbolic?
“If turtle has shown up, you may need to ask yourself some questions. Are you not seeing what you should? Are you not hearing what you should? Are you or those around you not using discrimination?”
I see turtles. Should I be seeing them?
“When a turtle shows up in your life it is usually a reminder to pay attention or you will miss opportunities. To the Native Americans, the turtle was a symbol of Mother Earth and a reminder that she provides for all of our needs. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees, and turtle can slow us down to help us see our opportunities.”
Mmmm, turtle soup. Now there’s an opportunity.
I reported the sighting to our property manager.
The turtle was massive. About 20cm long (that’s 30feet for you NonMetrics).
I just want people to be warned, in case it kills anyone. Like that Jaws fish.
But I fear the turtle has already struck.
Some guy was fishing down by the lake the other day and he went missing. They threw nets into the lake to try and see whether they could locate his body, but all they ever recovered were his intestines.
So that’s pretty scary stuff.
And those cute and mouth-watering little ducklings used to run down to the water to get away from me every time I approached, but I bet they’re not so fucking smart now that there’s a turtle on the loose.
Yeah.
I just hope he doesn't have mutant ninja skills.
