This is the first worktape I’ve recorded since crashing my bicycle a couple of months back.
That crash almost broke my left thumb. I was wearing a thumb ring at the time, which got crushed by the impact of me vs. the road, but it probably saved my thumb.
But anyway. I sort of need that thumb for playing and it’s been taking a long time to get better.

I’ve written a whole bunch of songs in the meantime, but haven’t worktaped them yet, because they use barre chords, an acoustic guitar, and playing barre chords on an acoustic guitar tends to hurt my thumb even when it isn’t recovering from hurting.
But I decided to press on anyway, because I’m a little concerned that one of the musicians referenced in this song might die in the meantime and then I’d have to rewrite the song, which would suck on many levels.
