I think it’s meant to be positive.

What I do know is the three verses here are taken from real life. And when I started to think about this song, I discovered there were at least a dozen people close to me that matched these lines, or could’ve provided several similar ones.

When I realized there were that many real examples, I had to simply stop thinking about it, in case I realized there were even more.
