D-Man Bites Dog
Marking my territory, one expletive at a time.
Try whistling this

There aren’t too many songs I’ve written that you can take home to meet your mother.

And there are even less that are suitable for playing to children. Even my children.

Which is a shame, because the last time I went camping I had a tent full of kids demanding songs of me the minute I pulled out my Martin backpacker guitar.
So I had to make songs up on the spot about whatever random topics their random little minds requested. Although my punk rock version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star went down quite well. All 30 seconds of it.

So my daughter was hounding me to write her a song. I said, what should it be about? She said, Barbie! And then she started dancing, swinging her Barbie around.

So, we get this.

I don’t know if I completely succeeded in the child-appropriate side of things, but I do know that she loves it.

Now. Off camping tomorrow for the long weekend.

Yay.
